SS Chained Dagger - 1936
This new style SS dagger was introduced in 1936 on Himmler instructions.
The new chained was hanger for the existing officers and for new officers, also old guard NCO’s and SS members who had joined prior to January 1933 were eligable for the dagger.
Production ceased in 1942.

Type I - Straight links to the Wotans knot hanging clip, 'DRGM' mark can normally be seen under the knot.
Type II - Beveled links to the Wotans knot hanging clip.
